1. What these terms cover
These terms govern your use of AICA Passbook: the site, the parsing and verification workbench, and the BSA reports you buy to generate them. Using the site means you agree to them. If you’re using AICA Passbook on behalf of a client, a firm, or an employer, you’re confirming you have the authority to accept these terms on their behalf too.
2. Uploading: you warrant you’re authorized
By uploading a bank statement, you confirm you are authorized to process it, whether it’s your own account or one you handle for someone else. This covers accountants, tax preparers, and advisors working from client statements: you may upload a client’s file, but you are the one warranting that you have their permission to do so. AICA Passbook does not, and cannot, verify that permission on your behalf; that responsibility stays with you, the uploader, at all times.
3. What a verdict means
A VERIFIED stamp means one specific thing: the running balance in the statement adds up, row by row, start to finish. It is an arithmetic check, not financial, credit, tax, or legal advice, and it says nothing about whether an account is in good standing, a transaction is legitimate, or a business is creditworthy. Classification labels (category, counterparty, rationale, confidence) are the engine’s best read of the tape, offered for your own review, not a recommendation to lend, borrow, invest, or file anything. Rows the engine isn’t confident about are marked needs-review rather than guessed at; treat those as exactly that.
4. Reports and refunds
- Reports are non-transferable between accounts and never expire.
- Unused reports are refundable within 7 days of purchase: email the grievance contact below or use the account page to ask.
- If a BSA report fails to generate on our end, it is refunded to your balance automatically; you are never charged for a run that didn’t produce a result.
5. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these terms or your use of AICA Passbook (however that claim is framed) is capped at the total amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including decisions made using a verdict or a classification label.
6. Acceptable use
Don’t use AICA Passbook to process statements you’re not authorized to handle, to attempt to break or reverse-engineer the verification or classification engines, or to resell access to the service without a separate agreement with us. We can suspend or close an account that does.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. If we make a material change, we’ll post the new version here with an updated date; continuing to use AICA Passbook after that means you accept the update.
